Campbeltown refers to a whisky-producing region in Scotland, rather than a specific brand. Once known as the "whisky capital of the world," Campbeltown is one of the five protected Scotch whisky regions. Located on the Kintyre peninsula, this small region is known for producing distinctive, full-bodied whiskies with a unique character often described as having maritime influences. Today, only three distilleries remain active in Campbeltown: Springbank, Glengyle, and Glen Scotia, each contributing to the preservation of this historic whisky-making tradition.
